SENIOR SOLICITOR - COMMERCIAL

To assist the Managing Partner in Gibraltar in all areas of commercial law.

The Position

The Senior Partner is keen to expand the Commercial Department generally and also to reinforce the existing commercial team.  As Managing Partner, Benjamin Marrache heads the Gibraltar management team with the aid of a competent and ambitious HR Manager who also assists in promoting the firm generally.  Senior Partner Isaac Marrache and Benjamin Marrache jointly head the commercial team.

The position is primarily to assist Benjamin Marrache in Gibraltar with all aspects of Commercial work.  Such assistance will be required in all areas, ie. Corporate and Commercial, Private Client, Banking and Finance, Tax, Real Estate and Construction etc:

· to liaise between Benjamin Marrache and his existing   team;

· to assist the existing team;

· to assist in the supervision and training of  younger   members of the team;

· to take on and conduct the day to day management of   general commercial work; and to assist Benjamin   Marrache in expanding commercial work generally.


Marrache & Co has a corporate arm specialising in company incorporation and management.  It is fully licensed by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.  Marrache & Co also has a large and successful spanish law department and an office in Spain (Sotogrande).  The position also involves assisting Benjamin Marrache in promoting the corporate arm and the spanish law department and the services they offer.

The position is envisaged to require an amount of travelling, particularly to assist in the planned expansion.

The Successful Candidate

Will be a very senior commercial solicitor with wide experience in all aspects of commercial law willing to take on a challenging position.  International/multi-jurisdictional experience generally will be an advantage.

· have a thorough, friendly and encouraging approach to   training and supervision;

· have excellent team spirit;

· have high class legal background and experience;

· be accustomed to dealing with prestigious clients; and

· be willing to adapt to Gibraltar law.
